Lndr Development and Release Date Update

It’s mid-May, and with that comes an update on the development of the next version of Lndr: version 2.2.

In our past Weekly Updates, we stated that our goal for the release of Lndr v2.2 is May 2019. However, we are making a change to the release schedule for Lndr. Previously, Lndr v2.2 was slated to include our new “Group Settlement” feature. This is being moved to be released in the June-July timeframe.

It’s our goal to have Lndr v2.2 with group settlement live by that time. The official roadmap will be updated to reflect this, but we wanted to share it with you first.

Here is the latest Lndr development roadmap:

📍 v2.0 – Send Transactions to Friends and Family by Email – (December 2018-January 2019) – Many Lndr users have friends or family that are new to Lndr or have not downloaded the app. In this update, users will be able to create debts or IOUs that are sent by email along with a link to install Lndr. (COMPLETE + LIVE)

📍 v2.1 – TrueUSD Stablecoin Integration – (February-March 2019) – TrueUSD is the next stablecoin to be supported for settlements in Lndr. TrueUSD is backed by the US dollar, acting as a stable currency for digital exchange. Anyone who passes a standard KYC/AML check can redeem TrueUSD for USD. And every TrueUSD is always 100% collateralized by USD, held in professional trust firms’ banks. (COMPLETE + LIVE)

📍 v2.2 – Group Settlement – (June-July 2019) – Currently, you can only create a debt or IOU with one friend or family member in Lndr. In version 2.2, we will add the ability to perform group settlements. Now you can use Lndr for splitting restaurant bills, travel costs or other expenses that are shared by more than two people.

📍 v2.3 – BTC Integration – (July-August 2019) – Bitcoin (BTC) remains one of the most popular cryptocurrencies in every corner of the planet. In this update, BTC will join ETH, DAI, BNB, TUSD and potentially other cryptocurrencies as a settlement option.

📍 v2.4 – Cryptocurrency Transformation – (August-September 2019) – The ability to transform cryptocurrencies to other cryptocurrencies for settlement purposes is a feature that many Lndr users are excited about. In Lndr v2.4, we will include the ability to transform cryptocurrencies that can be used to settle up.

📍 v2.5 – Special Feature To Be Announced – (September-October 2019) – We’re planning a special upgrade to Lndr for version 2.5. There’s only one way to find out what it is: visit the updated roadmap in the Credit Protocol white paper, linked below!

Thanks and we look forward to sharing the new version of Lndr with you! Stay tuned to our official communities for further updates.

Lndr is our peer-to-peer bill-splitting and expense-sharing mobile app for iOS and Android. It uses the Credit Protocol and the Ethereum blockchain to create, manage and settle casual debts and IOUs between friends. Essentially, “Venmo of the blockchain.”

Lndr supports dozens of currencies and allows users to settle debts in Ether (ETH), BNB, DAI stablecoin, as well as fiat currency.

You can download Lndr for iOS on the App Store and Lndr for Android on Google Play
