Blockmason Weekly Update: 2019-03-21

Welcome to the Blockmason Weekly Update!

Hello, Blockmason community! Another week is upon us, which means it’s time for another Weekly Update.

In this edition of the Weekly Update, Lndr Development Update, announcing new partnerships with HYCON, Korea Mobile Game Association, and Korea Blockchain Content Association.

Are you ready? Let’s get started!

Lndr Development Update

With all the excitement surrounding Link, it’s important to remember that we have another fantastic product: Lndr! If you haven’t used it before, Lndr is our mobile app for iOS and Android that allows you to split bills and share expenses with friends and family in 25+ currencies. You can settle up with cash, cryptocurrencies like ETH, DAI, BNB or PayPal.

If you’ve been following the Lndr roadmap, you’re aware that we are planning to have v2.1 on the app stores by March 31st. TrueUSD (TUSD) stablecoin integration is the main feature for Lndr v2.1, along with a number of bug fixes and “under the hood” upgrades. Adding TrueUSD offers our users another cryptocurrency settlement option that is more resistant to price fluctuation.

Our development team is pleased to announce that Lndr v2.1 is complete and is in the bug testing phase now. As long as everything looks good, we are on track to have Lndr v2.1 released sometime next week. Stay tuned to our official communities like Telegram and Twitter for more Lndr news!

Link Development Update

If you’re active in our social communities, you have likely heard your fair share about Blockmason Link. Our entire team has been hard at work pushing Link forward; our development team continues to build and improve the product, while our business development and marketing teams are working on partnerships, customer acquisition, and adoption.

This month, we have seen a considerable increase in interest in Link. We have added support for most of the top programmatic blockchains to our official roadmap and inked a handful of partnerships that will introduce thousands of decentralized app developers to Link.

Let’s take a quick look at some of the development progress for Link.

Link Back-End (API) Development

So far in March, our team has:

  • Repaired a bug that was dropping actions and events when re-mapping an API resource
  • Added public-facing endpoints for the OpenAPI definition
  • Shortened the URLs used when calling API actions
  • Revised some of the naming logic for API actions and events
  • Added support for the OAuth 2.0 “refresh token” grant type – (When a client authenticates using a client ID and secret, they get a short-lived access token and a long-lived refresh token. The refresh token can now be used to fetch a new access token when it expires, instead of needing to have the client ID and secret again.)

This brings the Link API to version v1.12.0.

Link Front-End (Web App) Development

Of course, we can’t forget to share changes and improvements to the Link front-end, which is where our users spend their time.

Along with a host of visual upgrades, we have made significant improvements to the New Project Wizard. The Wizard is how developers new to Link are likely to start their projects, and making it a smooth, seamless — dare we say, fun? — experience is important to us. That’s it for now! As always, stay tuned to our social media and communities so you can find out everything that’s happening with Link.
